Order of the National Green Tribunal (Central Zone Bench, Bhopal) in the matter of Motilal Singhania Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 18/11/2024.

Issue raised in the application is discharge of untreated water in the Kothari river and thereby polluting water quality of the river in addition to throwing the solid waste, chemicals, waste medicines on the belt of the river body in violation of environmental norms. A report was called from the State Pollution Control Board who have submitted the report with certain violations.

In view of the report of the committee following persons were also being impleaded as necessary and proper party, the court said. The two parties are Porwal Hospital Pvt. Ltd., Bhilwara, Rajasthan and Municipal Commissioner, Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The respondents have been directed to file their reply within four weeks. In the meantime, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board was directed to take necessary actions against the violations and to submit the action taken report.
