People’s opinion on the impacts of “ban on grazing” in Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, Sikkim, India

The Barsey Sanctuary is a part of the larger Khangchendzonga ecosystem, which is the third highest in the world, and is a part of the Eastern Himalayan Conservation landscape including the Khangchendzonga Conservation Area in Nepal, Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve, Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary in Sikkim and Singalila National Park in West Bengal, India. Sikkim is listed among the world's ten most critical centres for biodiversity and endemism. Sikkim is widely acknowledged as India's most significant biodiversity "Hot Spot" with a bewildering density of biodiversity in just 0.2% of the geographical area of the country.
