यमुना में पॉल्यूशन को रोकने के लिए सरकार की ओर से 'यमुना एक्शन प्लान' तैयार किया गया था। प्लान लागू होने के कई सालों बाद भी यमुना मैली की मैली ही है। इस संबंध में दाखिल एक याचिका पर नैशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्युनल (एनजीटी) ने मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ एनवायरनमेंट एंड फॉरेस्ट व अन्य पक्षों को नाटिस जारी किए हैं। ट्रिब्युनल ने सभी पक्षों से पूछा है कि उन्होंने यमुना में पॉल्यूशन रोकने के लिए क्या कदम उठाए हैं।
