The activity started in May 2016 and environmental clearance was given only May 2018. Also, no clearance was taken from the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL).

Order of the National Green Tribunl in the matter of Naresh Kumar Parmar Vs Union of India & Others dated 17/09/2019 regarding mining leases operating in Ambaji, Banas Kantha District of Gujarat dumping overburden in the natural drain which had the potential of obstructing the natural flow of water and causing siltation of the water courses in the entire mining area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of R. K. Singh Vs Union of India & Others dated 02/09/2019 regarding non-implementation of Environmental Impact Assessment Notification, 2006 in the State of Jharkhand in respect of building constructions. It is stated that the State of Jharkhand has undertaken various major constructions of buildings particularly in the cities of Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro and Deogarh without obtaining mandatory prior environmental clearance under the EIA Notification, 2006 even when it is mandatory in respect of structures having more than 20,000 Sq.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sanjeev S J, President, Environmental Protection and Research Council Vs State of Kerala dated 30/07/2019 regarding Environment Clearance (EC) for a construction project by M/s Draganstone Realty Pvt. Ltd. obtained by concealing facts about the actual built up area. Report from State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) said that EC was granted on June 2018, which has since expired and the new application is still pending.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anil Kumar Rai Vs Ministry of Environment & Forest & Others dated 29/07/2019 regarding M/s. Broadson Commodities Pvt. Ltd., illegally undertaking sand mining on the riverbeds of Sone River in Bhojpur District, Bihar, in the process of which many temporary bridges have been constructed over the river. Sand has been excavated at many places by digging upto the depth of 50 feet against the permissible depth of 3 meter, resulting in reduction of groundwater level in the nearby area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rupesh Pethe Vs State of Madhya Pradesh & Others dated 26/07/2019. The Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources, Madhya Pradesh was directed by the NGT to file an affidavit to explain how mining leases were being granted in violation of law. The Tribunal said the state can permit mining only after Environment Management Plan has been approved by the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jagdish Prasad Nishad Vs Union of India & Others dated 31/05/2019 regarding river sand mining by Katyani Natural Resources Ltd. in District Banda, Uttar Pradesh in violation of Environmental Clearance (EC) conditions. Illegal mining by using heavy machines during night hours was causing damage to the flora and fauna of River Ken in District Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The mining has been done unscientifically and is unsustainable and in violation of EC conditions.
