At a recent Interdisciplinary Group Meeting in UTTIPEC (http://uttipec.nic.in/), I gave a presentation on the path that planners, engineers and designers in the government should/ could take to achieve the World Class City goals of Delhi.
Romi Roy is an architect and urban designer and currently holds Senior Consulting positions with the Delhi Development Authority and the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, GNCTD. She is a Member of the High Court Special Task Force on Urban Transportation and advises at the Local Area Planning Monitoring Committee with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. At the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC) established by the DDA, she provides policy and design support on Transit Oriented Development in Delhi. She has extensive international experience with public transit related projects and projects integrating urban design and planning strategies with infrastructure and resource management systems in the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.
