A safety movement titled 'Earthquake: School Safety Programme' was launched in the port city yesterday with an aim to save the schoolchildren from earthquake.
Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB), Chittagong organised the daylong programmes, including a procession and training workshop, to launch the movement.
Speakers at the workshop expressed their concern over the vulnerable conditions of the existing school buildings in the city.
