Dakshina Kannada village selected for pilot ID card project [1]

Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj said Sasihitlu village near Surathkal with 2,800 population is one of the four villages selected by the Central Census Commissionerate for the pilot project.

A tiny village near Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada has been selected for a pilot project to implement National Identity Card, which is going to be a reality throughout India along with the 2011 census.
