Unabated quarrying alleged [1]

The Karnataka High Court has granted an interim stay order to stop the granite quarrying being carried out by the Andhra-based KNR group near Aroor village in the taluk.

Due to the illegal quarrying being carried out the houses in and around Aroor villages are developing cracks. Vessels and other utensils are falling down. There is also danger to the lives of people living in these houses.
