Vallur thermal power project crosses first milestone [1]

The first unit expected to go on stream by October 2010

A GREAT EFFORT: A boiler drum that was erected at Vallur Thermal power project in Chennai on Tuesday.

CHENNAI: The lifting and erection of a 216-tonne boiler drum at a height of 72 metres by BHEL marked the crossing of the first milestone for the 1,500-MW Vallur Thermal Power project on Tuesday.
