Apple production started in Arunachal Pradesh a couple of years back but the State is yet to become a producer of any repute mainly due to lack of post-harvest facilities in the State.
However, the Technology Mission for Horticulture in Northeastern States has now decided to impart training to apple growers in the State on post-harvest handling and marketing.
