Amidst reports of synthetic milk being supplied in the open market, the state government has asked various cooperative milk federations to pull up their socks or get ready to face action.
There is a shortfall of around 60,000 litre milk everyday. Kanpur is bearing the brunt with a daily shortfall of 20,000 litres.
