Ahmedabad: When Ashok and Rupa delivered a calf some two years ago, there was celebration at the Kamala Nehru Zoological Garden at Kankaria. Never had the zoo seen so many visitors, many of them kids, willing to be photographed with the baby elephant, one of the rare pachyderms born in captivity, though it did not survive.
