KOCHI: Close on the heels of Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan criticising officials for the laxity on their part in implementing National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), the district administration took measures to expedite the works under it.
The district administration also decided to initiate strict action against the officials who fail to implement the scheme properly.
