In a bid to create awareness about holy Ganga river and to make it pollution-free, hundreds of BJP workers under the leadership of MLA and parliament secretary Gopal Rawat, carried out a drive to clean the banks of Ganga River in Uttarkashi. The Panchayat has also decided to impose penalty on violators, who will dump garbage in Ganga, so that they would be able to achieve their mission.
