The principle of attached growth process has been incorporated in this research study for the treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater. An investigation has been made using laboratory scale model upflow anaerobic filter (UAF) using polyurethane foam as packing medium to evaluate its performance in treating pharmaceutical wastewater under the influence of various operating conditions.
