Projects worth over Rs 300 crore have been mooted by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) to ensure a comprehensive solution to the water scarcity problem in different pockets of the city, but faulty planning coupled with lethargy and legal complications have ensured non-completion and faulty implementation of these schemes.
