Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with National Thermal Power Corporation to establish 2,640-mw coal-based thermal power project at Gidderbaha at a cost of about Rs 15,000 crore.
This will be the biggest thermal power project in Punjab which will help develop ancillary industries and provide employment to thousands.
