Poison in the air and love for the puff have made Calcutta the lung cancer capital of India. A study has revealed that in 2007 Calcutta had topped the metros in new lung cancer cases.
The comparative study on lung cancer is part of the National Cancer Registry Programme conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
