KOCHI: The disaster that struck Japan in the form of an earthquake and tsunami has raised fresh concerns on the security of the Mullaperiyar dam. Experts have already pointed out that the dam will not be able to withstand a natural calamity of even lesser magnitude.
Studies have already been carried out on the possible impact of an earthquake on the dam.
