The Gurgaon district administration has stepped up the installation of water meters for registered tubewells and borewells in the city. The Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) had directed that all registered tubewells within the notified area should be fitted with water meters by April 9.
It had also directed that records of withdrawal of groundwater from the tubewells be maintained.
