Peacock killing goes unchecked [1]

Poaching of peafowl is going on unabated in the city and its surrounding areas for feathers and wildlife experts have even found nooses made of electrical wires to trap peafowl in the Narapalli forest block at Ghatkesar in the city outskirts.

Unfortunately the state anti-poaching squad and wildlife officials do not have the chemical reagents to determine whether a peacock feather has been shed
