Private player to clear garbage in 88 sq km of expanded city [1]

Conservancy operations in 88 sq km of the expanded city will be entrusted to a private operator by the Chennai Corporation.

The civic body on Thursday invited bids for selection of the operator for collection, segregation, transportation and disposal of garbage in the proposed new zones of Teynampet (Zone IX), Kodambakkam (Zone X) and Adyar (Zone XIII).
