A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Dr Gurbachan Singh, Agricultural Commissioner on 16th August, 2011 wherein representatives of the major industries as well as the Endosulfan Manufacturing and Formulators Association were invited. The compiled data was presented to the Joint Expert Committee in its meeting held on 19th August, 2011. During this meeting, it was suggested that additional information on the units authorized to export endosulfan and the environmental guidelines for disposal of hazardous substances like endosulfan may be collected.
