A meeting on banning the use of non-recyclable plastic products was held at the Collectorate on Thursday.
Chairing the meeting, Collector Ashish Kumar said use of non-recyclable plastic had been stopped completely in Kanyakumari district as awareness through a range of measures was created among the public, particularly among the producers, traders, consumers and the government officials, who were entrusted with the work of enforcing the ban.
