 Rural energy [1]

According to the International Centre for Application of Solar Energy (CASE), the most economical energy system to meet rural energy needs is hybrid energy consisting of solar power, wind power and diesel. Five centres in India, four in Thailand and two in Malaysia have been identified by CASE to set up rural energy systems. The project involves the training of personnel for its maintenance after installation. CASE has set up six centres around the world for promoting rewenable energy systems ( Non-Conventional Energy , Vol 2, No 24).
