With regard to the draft policy document on JNNSM Phase II that was released by the ministry on its website, the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) organised a roundtable discussion with stakeholders for discussion on 22nd December 2012. Representatives from the industry, NGOs and state government attended the discussion. The discussions raised issues on financing and manufacturing in the on-grid sector by the attendees. A complete revamp of the off-grid sector program structure and financing mechanism was finalised in the meeting.
