Read text of the NGT order in the matter of Vasant Krishnaji Vhatkar Vs. Union of India & Ors. dated 19/12/2013 regarding renewal of the right to mine on the land that falls between the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve and Radhanagri Wildlife Sanctuary. The mine owner could not secure forest clearance as the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) says that the lease fell in the wildlife corridor that needed protection.
