Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Indian Council for Enviro-Legal Action Vs. National Ganga River Basin Authority & Ors. dated 15/06/2015 regarding unauthorised dumping around the river bank/flood plains of River Ganga flowing within the limits of Nagar Nigam, Haridwar.
The counsel appearing on behalf of Nagar Nigarm, Haridwar on instructions submits that flood plain/banks of river Ganga flowing through the limits of the Nagar Nigam, Haridwar have been cleaned of municipal solid waste and no apprehension needs to be entertained regarding MSW getting washed in floods that may occur in ensuing monsoon.
