Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of J.P. Sharma Vs. Delhi Development Authority & Ors. dated 27/07/2015 regarding pollution of Hindon canal.
The record reveals that serious note of throwing of MSW in Hindon Canal was taken and therefore, committee of officers nominated by the Vice-Chairman of the DDA, Commissioner of East Delhi Municipal Corporation, PWD, DJB, State of Uttar Pradesh and U.P. Pollution Control Board was constituted to conduct inspection of Hindon Canal, survey the area and submit its status report along with remedial measures which are required to be taken for ensuring sanitary conditions at Hindon Canal.
