Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Magaarani Dyeings,Tiruppur.Vs. The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Rep. by its Member Secretary, Chennai & Others dated 03/09/2015.
This application is field by the applicant, a dyeing unit, for a direction against the respondents viz., the State Pollution Control Board to permit them to operate on all days of the week. The Tribunal made it very clear that the Pollution Control Board shall consider the application subject to the condition that by permitting the applicant to function on Saturdays and Sundays the permitted quantum shall not exceed as per “consent to operate”.
