Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Manoj Stone Crushing Co. Vrs. SEAC & Ors. dated 03/12/2015 regarding projects coming up in the eco-sensitive zone of Western Ghats especially stone crushing industry.
The Environment Department may place on record the authenticated copy of the eco-sensitive zone of Western Ghat to the extent of ESA of Karnala Bird Sanctuary, in which the projects in question are allegedly located, to clarify the issue including information viz-a-viz distance between the impugned project activity and border of the eco-sensitive area, distance-wise in each case.
