Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Meera Shukla Vs. Municipal Corporation, Gorakhpur & Others dated 06/07/2016 regarding pollution of water bodies in Gorakhpur due to indiscriminate waste disposal. CEO, Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority has been directed to file personal affidavit giving complete and comprehensive details of the industries which are located and operating under the industrial estate. The Tribunal was also informed that some of the units have been asked to become Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) unit.
