Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 22/09/2016 regarding the issue of collection, treatment and disposal of the municipal solid waste in various cities of India.
NGT directs Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change and Central Pollution Control Board to file response on the various suggestions submitted by the Applicant, Almitra H. Patel and also inform the Court on the methodology - Waste to Energy, Waste to RDF plant and waste to RDF and RDF to power generation would be acceptable on scientific basis in the various part of the country.
