Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Almitra H. Patel & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Others dated 13/01/2017 regarding municipal solid waste management in Delhi.
NGT asks the Central Pollution Control Board and Delhi Pollution Control Committee the steps they have taken in relation to dealing with municipal solid waste of Delhi and what directions have been issued to the authorities concerned; whether any action/prosecution have been taken against the Corporation and Delhi Government for violating the Municipal Solid Wastes (Management & Handling) Rules, 2000 and Solid Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2000 and Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.
