Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of News Item titled "MCD’s First Engineered Landfill Opens" appearing in The Times of India dated 13.03.2024 dated 10/12/2024.

The NGT, December 10, 2024 directed Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to place the guideline regarding utilization of ash-based products from Waste to Energy Plants in Delhi before the court in a week's time. DPCC on December 9, 2024 had issued directions under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 for use of ash based products. The matter would be next heard on April 4, 2025.

Response on behalf of the DPCC with respect to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order dated August 30, 2024.

The matters related to increased urban flooding in Delhi and its connection to the disappearance of water bodies in the capital. In compliance with decisions taken by the Integrated Drain Management Cell (IDMC) in its 17th meeting held on April 18, 2024, DPCC, May 20, 2024 received two lists of 1045 and 322 water bodies along with geo-coordinates from Wetland Authority of Delhi. These lists were forwarded to concerned District Magistrates for ground truthing.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to pay Rs 20 lakhs to the Akhil Bhartiya Netrahin Sangh School within one month. The school management would utilize the compensation amount in creating better environmental atmosphere in the school and in extending the proper health and other facilities to the students who are the victims of the pollution and environmental hazards.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manish Kumar Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 13/03/2024.

The matter related to encroachment, pollution, reduction of area of the pond in Smriti Van which is a DDA park at Kishangarh village, Delhi. District Magistrate, South Delhi has submitted that action has been initiated against the encroachers.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Saira Begum Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 28/11/2023.

Report by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) in Original Application No 663 of 2023 In re News item published in Indian Express dated 07.10.2023 titled GRAP Stage 1 kicks in as air quality dips to poor, condition likely to prevail till Sunday. The DPCC report was on the smog towers installed in Delhi to fight air pollution.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shamsher Singh Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 17/10/2023.

The matter related to dumping of sewage by unauthorized trucks/vehicles on roads and drains resulting in pollution and damage to environment.

The tribunal by its order, December 21, 2022 had taken note of the recommendation of the joint committee report, December 18, 2022 and directed the Chief Secretary to take up follow up action in coordination with the concerned departments/authorities.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shrankhla Mittal Vs Government of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 29/08/2023.

The matter related to violation of environmental norms, especially the Noise Pollution Rules 2000 by some of the restaurants, bars, pubs, and cafes in Hauz Khas, Delhi.

The action taken report filed by the SDM, Hauz Khas mentioned that environmental compensation of Rs 10,000 has been imposed on the restaurants violating environmental norms particularly the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Harpal Singh Rana Vs Delhi Metro Rail Corporation & Others dated 24/07/2023.

The matter related to discharge of rain water on the road side and the lack of proper methodology and manner of disposal, recharge of water and utilization by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
