Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rishabh Kumar Jain Vs Delhi Pollution Control Committee & Others dated 28/09/2020.

Action taken report on behalf of Delhi Pollution Control Committee in compliance to the National Green Tribunal order of May 20, 2020.

The matter related to management of construction and demolition (C&D) waste. The NGT had directed that steps should be taken to ensure increase of off take and lifting of C&D recycling material. Capacity for processing of waste needed to be adequately enhanced within a specified timeline. Also, it was not desirable to allow dumping of C&D waste at Bhalswa landfill site, which had already crossed its capacity.

Submission on behalf of the DPCC with respect to the letter of Monitoring Committee of August 24, 2020. The Monitoring Committee for the river Yamuuna had raised issues on the pooling of resources and use of funds in particular the EC and Consent funds, so that it could be used in the utilization of action plans for abatement of pollution in river Yamuna. DPCC stated that EC received was Rs. 52 crores, out of which Rs. 12. 4 crores have already been spent and Rs. 39.6 crores was the balance available.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of RWA Society Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 26/08/2020.

The issue for consideration is the remedial action against the bad odour from the STP, Kondli in Delhi, as the STP is not operated as per norms. The NGT in its order of September 27, 2019 had directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to take appropriate action in the light of the report of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mohd. Yasin Vs Delhi Pollution Control Committee dated 25/08/2020.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Society for Alternative Fuel and Environment (SAFE) Vs Union of India dated 25/08/2020.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pramod Kumar Jha Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 07/08/2020. A report was sought from the Delhi Jal Board and Delhi Pollution Control Committee with reference to the allegation of illegal extraction of ground water in village Jagatpur, Civil Lines Delhi near Yamuna biodiversity park for sale through tankers and further grievance was that charcoal drums were being burnt in open causing air pollution.

Status report of Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) in compliance to the NGT order of March 16, 2020. The matter related to illegal vehicle dismantling units in Nagli Sakrawati area, spewing pollution.

A joint team of officials from Transport Department and DPCC officials inspected the six vehicle scrapping units on June 3, 2020, which were mentioned in the NGT order. Out of the six units, four units were found to be in operation and the activity of dismantling of vehicles was going on. Two units were found non-operational and the premises were vacant.

Additional Compliance Report dated 15/07/2020 on behalf of DPCC in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order of November 20, 2019 in the matter of Amrita Puri Residential Colony Residents' Welfare Association Vs SMS Water Grace (P) Ltd. & Others. M/s SMS Water Grace BMW (P) Ltd., operator of common bio-medical waste treatment facility (CBWTF), it was observed that PM, NO2, total polychlorinated di-benzo dioxins and furans are exceeding the prescribed standards.

Updated action taken report of Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) of July 7, 2020 regarding steps taken after May 4, 2020 with respect to setting up of treatment, storage and disposal facility (TSDF) for hazardous waste at Bawana, Delhi by DSIIDC in the matter of All India Lokadhikar Sangathan Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others.
