Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Sikandrabad Industrial Area Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 18/09/2019 regarding pollution caused by the burning of rubber, cloth, plastic and wood for making steam in the boiler by cement industries at Sikandrabad, District Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh creating lot of air pollution.

Order of the National Green Tribunl in the matter of Ram Sharan Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 17/09/2019 regarding pollution caused by M/s. J. B. Daruka Paper Limited, District Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh resulting in death of animals in the area. Following a joint report from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) which showed deficiencies, the Tribunal directed that further action be taken and compensation assessed and recovered. An interim compensation of Rs. 10 lakhs was directed to be recovered from the unit.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs Union of India & Others dated 11/09/2019 regarding control of pollution and rejuvenation of River Yamuna in Delhi.

The matter has been taken up to review the progress in execution of directions in the judgement of the Tribunal dated January 13, 2015.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vinod Kumar Jain Vs NCT of Delhi & Others dated 11/09/2019 regarding all the schools and colleges in Delhi to install RWH systems within two months from the date of the order (November 16, 2017) failing which compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs will be required to be paid.

History of the case:

NGT noted that the inspection report filed before the Tribunal from time to time clearly showed that untreated industrial effluents were being discharged in a water body causing damage to the eco system and health of the inhabitants.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pradeep Kumar Singh Vs State of Jharkhand dated 02/09/2019 regarding illegally operating stone crushers affecting the ecology and wildlife in villages Choti Bhagiamari, Ambadih, Motijharna and Kalyani in District Sahebganj, Jharkhand.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of RWA Jain Colony Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 30/08/2019 regarding pollution by illegal industrial activities in North West Delhi and also violation of Biomedical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
