Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: News Item Published in Hindustan Times "And Quiet Flows the Maily Yamuna" dated 20/02/2017 regarding Yamuna river pollution.
Apex Court directs V.K. Gupta, Chief Engineer, Drainage Project – I, Delhi Jal Board to submit a report on the Interceptor Sewer Project, postulated to collect waste water flowing in three major drains, namely, Najafgarh Drain, Supplementary Drain and Shahadra Drain. He is requested to furnish a report to this Court, within two weeks from today, indicating the entire nature of activity, and the present stage of construction of the Interceptor Sewer Project.
