Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Minaar Industries (Hindustan Tannery Pvt. Ltd.) Vs. Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 10/04/2017 regarding pollution caused by tanneries, Uttar Pradesh.
NGT directs that a Joint Inspection Team of Central Pollution Control Board, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board and a representative from the Central Ground Water Authority shall conduct a Joint Inspection of the closed plants and Report to the Tribunal whether they have been provided with basic anti-pollution devices and other amenities to treat the effluent that would ultimately be generated from these plants.
