Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Court on its own Motion Vs. NCT, Delhi & Ors.dated 15/05/2017 regarding Tughlakabad Gas Leak.

NGT directs Dr. Y.K. Gupta, Head of Pharmacology Department, AIIMS to file a complete Report with regard to their visit on the site in question, as it has been reported that residents of that area are handling such chemicals on a regular basis. The Court also requested All India Institute of Medical Science to submit a supplementary Report on people who got effected from the leakage and whether they have suffered any serious health consequences.

NGT also stresses upon the fact that this is not only a source of public health hazard but a substantial environmental issue as it generates large scale of dust which is a source of air pollution bringing down the ambient air quality in Delhi.
