Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vardhaman Kaushik Vs. Union of India & Others dated 28/07/2017 regarding registration of BS-IV compliant diesel trucks. Application filed by the Delhi Cantonment Board is allowed by the Tribunal subject to the condition that the diesel trucks of Delhi Cantonment Board which are 10 years old will not be used any more and they will be auctioned for the purpose of dismantling and/or being plied in the area outside of Delhi which have been identified as the area where the ambient air quality is within the prescribed standards. The new trucks would be registered only after this and they shall be used by the Delhi Cantonment Board only for transportation of waste and will not be used for any private purpose.
