Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ashish Dixit Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh & Ors. dated 18/08/2017 regarding pollution of ponds and water bodies in District Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. NGT directs the State of Uttar Pradesh along with the concerned local authorities to identify all the water bodies in Lucknow and the same shall be put on the website of the said agencies as well as UPPCB. They shall be kept in public domain as well. The encroachments or any unauthorised construction raised in the area of these water bodies and ponds shall be removed by the local authorities and the State Governments shall provide all assistance to the local bodies.
