Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of All Dimasa Students Union Dima Hasao Dist. Committee Vs. State of Meghalaya & Others dated 02/01/2018 regarding the menace of unscientific and unregulated coal mining in Meghalaya.
Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change submits that the Environment and Ecology Restoration Plan particularly the protection of water body's from the threat of unregulated coal mining has been prepared and filed before the Court. NGT directs the plan to be furnished to all the contending parties within a week and it will soon decide on the Action Plan for controlling the Rat Hole Mining which is before the Court.
