Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akhil Bhartiya Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha (Regd.) & Others Vs. Union of India & Others dated 15/01/2018 regarding availability of water for animals near a proposed nuclear power plant in the Fatehabad district of Haryana. It has been placed before the Court that the order dated 23rd May, 2017 [2] requiring the Forest Department of Government of Haryana and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) to provide water holes for animals in the area in question has been complied with.
NGT was hearing a plea filed by Akhil Bhartiya Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha challenging the environment clearance granted to NPCIL.
