Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Giriraj Parikrama Sanrakshan Sansthan & Others Vs. Department of Environment & Forests & Others dated 30/05/2018 regarding proper disposal of the offerings at Goverdhan, including Mansi Ganga and Radha Kund areas.
NGT Order emphasised on a survey to know as to how many sewerage lines are coming from the neighboring houses and joining Mansi Ganga. All such lines needs to be completely stopped and alternative route be looked into. Also a thorough survey in respect of collection of solid waste of Goverdhan and Radha Kund needs to be done. The land fill site is already earmarked. Further it is to be looked into as to whether the area earmarked for waste treatment plant is sufficient or not.
