Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mussadiq Hassan Kadri Vs. State of Maharashtra & Others dated 20/07/2018 regarding dredging of sand with the help of mechanized dredging from the coastal stretch, sea bed, creek and other areas in violation of Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) notification in Maharashtra.

The matter had come for hearing on 30th May 2018 and the matter was disposed of with the direction that only maintenance dredging for sand mining strictly in accordance with the Judgment of this Tribunal passed in the Awaaz Foundation and Sumaira Abdulali Vs. State of Maharashtra and Ors will be allowed. Accordingly NGT disposes of the Application as the Court feels that it is not necessary to pass any further order.
