Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Confederation of Trans Hindan RWA’s Ghaziabad Vs U. P. State Pollution Control Board & Others dated 28/05/2019 regarding inaction of the Municipal Corporation Ghaziabad in complying with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, in not collecting garbage from Indirapuram, Vasundhara and Vaishali which is being dumped at Shakti Khand, adversely affecting the air quality. Report received by the Tribunal from the State PCB acknowledges that garbage was being dumped in Shakti Khand and that there was no segregation of garbage.

The Municipal Corporation Ghaziabad has been directed to deposit a sum of Rs. 25 lakhs towards compensation for damage to the environment within one month with the CPCB.
