Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Paryavaran Care Society Vs Devendar Bhadana & Others dated 31/05/2019 regarding illegal construction in forest land at Suraj Kund, District Faridabad. The NGT in its previous order had held that the construction was illegal for which action was required to be taken by the concerned authorities and report furnished to the Tribunal. A report submitted by the Divisional Commissioner, Faridabad to the effect that some of the constructions had been demolished and compensatory afforestation charges levied. Time was sought for preparation and execution of an action plan for restoration of the damage.

NGT expresses its dissatisfaction at the report submitted thereafter by the the Commissioner, Faridabad Division as it was not clear whether necessary action has been taken on the ground for recovery of the compensation and for restoration of the area and directs a further action taken report to be furnished after two months.
