Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Tej Singh Hada Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 24/10/2019 regarding pollution caused by a flour mill at Dabri Palam Road, New Delhi.
The applicant had informed the Tribunal, that even after the closure notice served to the flour mill, the mill was in operation. A report was then sought from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) who in turn stated that the atta chakki now in operation is of a smaller capacity and falls under household category.
The applicant had said that a lot of noise was created because of the chakki's operation. The Tribunal directed the DPCC to ensure that remedial measures against the noise pollution are taken by the flour mill.
