Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bhanwar Lal & Others Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 06/02/2020 regarding illegal mining around Khantipur area, Ajmer, Rajasthan. Further, illegl mining was preventing the free flow of water into the Shakti Sagar lake. This execution application has been filed with the prayer to direct the authority to comply with the directions issued by the Tribunal in original application (91/2015) and decided on February 28, 2017.

The Tribunal in its order of 2017 had directed the district collector to immediately take steps by cancelling the khatidari rights of illegal miners, imposition of fine for destroying the environment. The court noted that deep excavation had resulted in creating pool of water "which would otherwise have flowed from the catchment area into the Shakti Sagar Lake."

The bench of Justice Raghuvendra S. Rathore asked advocate Om Shankar Shrivastava to visit the site and submit a report with regard to its present status.
